It is the goal of AME and its board of directors to continue the further development of community-based music programs, with a focus on generating cultural competency, community engagement, and the development of core musical skills. With continued support, AME will establish its first brick-and-mortar, community music center in Lowell. A space for members of the community to come together, create music, and access a variety of other social welfare services. The goal of this project is to create a model for opening community music centers with the intention of establishing them around the country.
